Reading the pattern

1. Mark out 25 × 23 blocks on flat ground. Up on the pattern is north.
2. Build from LAYER 1 up, one layer at a time. Shaded cells show where the layer below had blocks, so you can line things up. A tile marked x2 means stack that same layer that many times.
3. Stairs: the triangle points to the high side. Slabs: a bar at the top is a top slab, at the bottom a bottom slab.
4. Gather the blocks in the table below first so you don't have to stop halfway.
